This training session provides a comprehensive understanding of ISO/IEC 17065 and its application to bodies operating product, process, and service certification schemes. The session explains the structure, principles, and mandatory requirements of the standard, with particular emphasis on impartiality, independence, competence of personnel, and the effective management of certification activities.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of key operational elements, including the development and implementation of certification schemes, application review, evaluation activities (such as testing, inspection, and audit inputs), certification decision-making, surveillance, and handling of changes affecting certification. The training also addresses the requirements for managing risks to impartiality, confidentiality, complaints and appeals, outsourcing, and the use of certification marks and certificates.

In addition, the session covers management system requirements under ISO/IEC 17065, highlighting the integration of quality management principles, document and record control, internal audits, management review, and continual improvement. Practical examples and case-based discussions are used to illustrate common nonconformities, best practices, and expectations during accreditation assessments, supporting effective and consistent implementation of the standard and alignment with IAF and accreditation body requirements.
